The Wilmington Flume is a striking natural gorge carved by the West Branch of the Ausable River, featuring a series of waterfalls and pools along the West Branch of the river. Located in the Wilmington Wild Forest, the flume is also host to the Flume Trail network, which offers over 11.5 miles of multi-use trails suitable for hiking, mountain biking, and XC skiing.
These photos were taken on the trail – and include shots of the flume falls (upper and lower) and the pool falls, as well as the calmer parts off the river and associated marshland.
